People who wake up feeling grateful and happy are doing things unconsciously or consciously that put them in a good mood. After all, who doesn't like to start their day with a smile?

In order to consistently vibrate higher, it is important to not let random incidents direct your life. Take an example where you wake up well-rested and raring to tackle the day ahead. However, you realize that you are late for an important meeting, you curse your luck and as you are rushing to get ready, you jam your toe against the corner of the bed - these two incidents can set the tone for the rest of your day. Cultivate a routine where you are operating at high energy and minor mishaps do not affect your personal vibe. 

Here are 5 ways to vibrate at a higher frequency and welcome positivity and light into your life.

Gratitude: A grateful heart attracts abundance. Spend a few minutes each morning expressing gratitude for everything you have in your life. This can be accomplished through meditation or by keeping a gratitude journal. Look for things to be thankful for whenever you find yourself complaining or becoming angry about a situation in your life. By changing your perspective you are consciously deciding to focus on the positive aspects of your life, thus raising your vibrations.

Practice Mindfulness: When our thoughts are not clouded by events from the past or worries about the future, we can begin to enjoy the present. The first step toward mindfulness is to become more aware of ourselves and our surroundings. Mindful living clears the path to higher levels of vibrations by removing stress and anxiety patterns. Maintaining a daily meditation practice can help you achieve mindfulness.

Exercise: No, we're not talking about a 45-minute HIIT cardio workout. (Though that would also work!) A brisk walk in the park, morning yoga practice, or dancing to your favorite tunes are all great ways to raise your vibrations. When done quickly, movement of any kind disperses the stagnant life force energy or prana that is stuck in the body, allowing fresh energy to flow in. When you begin your day with a movement exercise you are setting yourself up to be a magnet for new experiences and opportunities.

Eat High-Vibe Food: Think back to the last time you had a salad and a green smoothie for lunch. How did you feel? In all likelihood, you enjoyed this meal. You felt light and healthy after consuming it. Now imagine incorporating nothing but prana-rich foods, like seasonal fruits and vegetables, whole grains and pulses. By removing "dead" energy from your diet, you begin to vibrate at a higher level, attracting more light and positivity into your life. While it is difficult to follow a completely sattvic diet, you can do so on a few days of the week and notice the difference.

These are just a few of the ways you can increase your energy frequency in your daily life. Raising your vibration is essentially the same as changing your mood.

Take up a hobby, spend time in nature, and practice healthy eating and drinking habits to make you feel good. A healthy body leads to a healthy mind.
